Course Overview

Welcome to the cutting-edge of 2026 development! In this intensive 3-hour instructor-led workshop, you will master Vibe Coding — the revolutionary approach where you describe your idea in plain language, and AI automatically generates, iterates, debugs, and deploys a complete web application for you. No manual, line-by-line coding is required.

3 Progressive Live Sessions | 180-Minute Intensive Instruction in English

  • Session 1: From Idea to First Working App Master the vibe coding fundamentals and the core "describe $\rightarrow$ test $\rightarrow$ improve" mental model. You will use Replit to define an MVP and build your first working prototype of a medical waitlist app (ClinicWait), complete with a patient form, staff dashboard, and seeded sample data.
  • Session 2: Improve through Iteration Learn to use structured prompt sequences to refine features and debug mistakes step-by-step. You will build an open-slot workflow and implement intelligent matching logic to rank and connect waitlisted patients with canceled appointments, treating bugs as clear signals to refine your system.
  • Session 3: Polish, Publish, and Demo Finalize your application with UI/UX optimization, required field validation, and code refactoring. You will explore advanced real-world architecture by integrating Notion to separate content from code, and seamlessly convert your web app into a mobile app previewed directly on your phone using Expo Go.

Lecturers & Special Guests:

  • Dr. Yu Meng, Ph.D. (Computer Science), Sr. Member IEEE, MIT App Inventor Expert Trainer.
  • Special Guest Lecture: David Cui. Currently on leave from Brown University, David is actively building in the world-renowned Y Combinator (YC) accelerator. He will share insider secrets on the real YC journey and how to accelerate prototyping and product iteration using Claude Code (Live on April 4 at 12 PM Pacific Time).

Who Should Attend:

  • Anyone curious about AI-assisted development but has little or no prior coding experience.
  • Product managers, entrepreneurs, designers, legal, and non-technical creators who want to quickly build full-stack web MVPs.
  • High school students eager to build programming projects for STEM competitions or personal portfolios.
  • Experienced programmers who want a 10x coding efficiency boost by shifting their role from typing every line to acting as a "coach and curator".

Format & Prerequisites:

  • Format: Three 60-minute live instructor-led Zoom sessions featuring full-screen demos, guided hands-on building in your own Replit workspace, live debugging, and Q&A.
  • Prerequisites: A free Replit account and a web browser. No prior programming experience required. For the final session, downloading the free Expo Go app on your smartphone is highly recommended.

FAQ

Requirment

  • A Verified Replit Account: Students must sign up for a Replit account (via Google, GitHub, X, Apple, or email) and verify their email to access the browser-based workspace

  • eb Browser and Internet Access: Since Replit provides a browser-based, low-setup experience for vibe-coding, a computer with a modern web browser and stable internet is required

  • Expo Go Mobile App: For Session 3, students need to download the free "Expo Go" app on their iOS or Android mobile devices to scan QR codes and instantly preview their web app as a mobile application

  • Notion Account (For Advanced Extensions): To understand the "Separation of Concerns" in real-world architecture during Session 3, students should be prepared to use external databases like Notion to store text, images, and dates

  • Zoom Access: Required for attending live remote sessions and special guest lectures, such as the Y Combinator (YC) sharing session by David Cui

  • An Iterative Mindset: Students must adopt the "Describe → Test → Improve" mental model, shifting from traditional coding to guiding AI as a coach and curator

  • Clear, Plain-Language Prompting: The ability to break down complex work into small, actionable prompts. Students must follow the rule of giving one clear instruction at a time and "not asking for everything at once"

  • Basic Logical Structuring: While deep coding knowledge isn't necessary, students need logical thinking to define a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and structure rules (e.g., creating a 5-step matching logic for the ClinicWait app based on doctor, time, and appointment type)

  • Prepared Course Materials (MVP Plan): Before moving to advanced iterations, students must bring their completed "Student Worksheet," which includes their core MVP sentence, identified users, page ideas, and necessary data fields

  • Patience for Step-by-Step Debugging: Students must develop the habit of testing the app after each prompt, observing carefully, and recording evidence. They need to treat bugs not as failures, but as signals showing where the system or prompt needs improvement

Outcomes

  • Launch a Fully Functional Web App from Scratch Walk away with a working, shareable web application (the ClinicWait management system) that you built from zero to published in just three fast-paced sessions

  • Master the "Vibe Coding" Paradigm Stop struggling with traditional, line-by-line coding. Transform yourself into an AI software director who builds complex systems using plain language and the powerful "Describe → Test → Improve" mental model

  • Engineer AI Prompts Like a Pro Developer Unlock the exact, step-by-step prompt sequences needed to guide AI coding agents effectively. You will learn to break down massive tasks into single, clear instructions that guarantee clean, functional code generation

  • Execute Rapid MVP Architecture Adopt a Silicon Valley product manager's mindset. Learn how to instantly scope a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), define user workflows, and translate raw ideas into a structured build plan at lightning speed

  • Seamlessly Convert Web Apps to Mobile Apps Break out of the desktop browser! You will learn how to magically transform your web dashboard into a native mobile application and preview it live on your own smartphone using Expo Go

  • Implement Real-World System Architecture Go far beyond beginner tutorials by mastering the "Separation of Concerns." You will integrate external databases like Notion to separate your data from your code, building professional and easily scalable app architectures

  • Build Intelligent Matching Algorithms Learn how to instruct AI to create complex, dynamic business logic—such as building a multi-layered algorithm that automatically matches waitlisted patients to canceled clinic slots based on dynamic criteria

  • Turn Bugs into Breakthroughs with Zero Anxiety Eradicate coding fear forever. You will adopt a foolproof "Test, Observe, Record" debugging framework, learning to read errors not as roadblocks, but as clear signals to upgrade your system and prompts

  • Polish Apps for Professional Portfolios Don't just build an app; make it beautiful and user-ready. Master UI spacing, robust form validations, and code refactoring to ensure your final product is deeply polished, fully tested, and ready for public demos

  • Unlock Elite Y-Combinator Insider Strategies Gain exclusive, behind-the-scenes insights through a special guest lecture from a Y Combinator (YC) founder. Discover how top-tier Silicon Valley startups use cutting-edge tools like Claude Code for hyper-fast prototyping and product iteration
